What counts as an analysis?
Each item you photograph and submit for AI identification counts as one analysis. Multiple angles of the same item — front, back, maker’s marks — count as one analysis, not several. Re-editing or re-pricing an already-analyzed item is free.
How the AI cost works
- Free trial, Pay-per-sale, and Standard: the AI is included in the price. Nothing else to set up or pay.
- Pro: $39/month plus the AI at cost. The $39 covers Estate Snapper. The AI is made by Anthropic, and on Pro you pay them directly for what you use, with no markup from us: about 4¢ per item (roughly $4 per 100 items). That is what lets Pro have no monthly limit. You set it up once in Settings (about five minutes) and choose a prepaid amount, so there are no surprise bills.

What is the free trial?
Every account gets 30 item analyses included, no credit card. Use them across as many sales as you like — they're lifetime, not monthly. Once they're spent, you can subscribe or buy a pay-per-sale unlock to continue.
Pay-per-sale vs subscription — which should I pick?
Pay-per-sale ($29) is best if you have one specific sale and won't need the app afterward (e.g. a homeowner clearing out a family estate). Subscription ($19+/mo) is better if you run sales regularly — you'll save money after the second sale per month.
What if I run out?
Add 100 more analyses for $19 any time, right from the app. They never expire.

What does Pro offer above and beyond Standard?
Pro has no monthly analysis limit, plus three Pro-only tools: image background removal, the ability to re-price an item a second time by providing additional context, and Buy-it-now — let buyers pay online for items on your sale page before the doors open, with the money going straight to your own Stripe account. On Pro the AI is billed separately at cost (about 4¢ per item); see the next question.
Why does Pro need an Anthropic account? Isn’t the AI included?
On Pro, the $39/month pays for Estate Snapper itself. The AI that identifies and prices your items is made by Anthropic, and on Pro you pay them directly for what you use, at cost with no markup from us. It works out to about 4¢ per item, roughly $4 for 100 items or $8 for a 200-item sale. That is how Pro can have no monthly limit. Setup is a one-time, five-minute step: create an Anthropic account, add prepaid credit (for example $20), and paste the key into Settings. Anthropic stops at the amount you prepay, so there are no surprise bills. If you would rather not set that up, Standard and Pay-per-sale include the AI.
